Hello again with me Velan 👱🏻
How are you guys?
Do you ever think about mobile presentation which all in with exercise, practice and homework?
It called Nearpod
This application, enables teachers to use their gadget/tablet to manage content/material on students' mobile devices. It combines presentation, collaboration and real time assessment tools into one integrated solution. Amazing right? That is why I said all in one.
Nearpod gives us the ability to edit slides which is absolutely fantastic! The drawbacks that I experienced personally was about the tools, somehow it take some time to get used to where all the tools are located. A few weeks ago, I and my blogging friend Anggie do an classroom activity. We made a lesson using Nearpod and present the lesson to the class. I'll show you how we did it!
1. First, we make our own Nearpod lesson here : https://nearpod.com/
2. Second, we we prepare the laptop and LCD in the class and sign in to Nearpod. Choose "My Library" option!
This is how my library looks like
Choose your lesson
3. Third, choose live lesson
4. Share the code to the audience
6. Then, we show them a video about the lesson. It shows some cartoon illustration and show them how to use comparative form.
7. After wathing the video, we moved to the exercises
This one is is a "Fill me" part. They can answers by drag on the boxes below to the right sentences.
This one is underline the answer. Before choosing the correct answer, students must observe based on 3(three) person characteristics.
8. Last but not least is Homework
When student open the link, it will comes up like this :
We take the homework from British Council website. There are lots of exercise and games there.
British Council website : https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en
It is a school learning for junior high school students in 7th grade. Our target skill is students are able to use comparative and superlative form. We got feedback from my lecture, she said that we should be the one who take the class, not the media or technology that we used, but overall this is a great job for us. Maybe in the other time I can improve it by interact more with the audience, not just play the slide. One of our classmate said that it is an interesting media, it has different kind of activities.
